This watercolor painting depicts a herring gull perched on a chimney. The photo for this motif was taken at the Friedrichskoog seal sanctuary. There, I photographed numerous gulls on a roof from a viewing platform. I then chose a section from this photo for this painting.
I painted on acid-free and therefore age-resistant Arches handmade watercolor paper, measuring 23 cm x 31 cm.
The color of the watercolor may vary slightly from the photos, as they can be displayed differently on different screens.
