Watercolor of a flying herring gull
This motif, like some of my paintings, originated in Sankt Peter-Ording. These majestically gliding birds can still be found almost everywhere there. Due to climate change, the herring gull may no longer be able to find enough food. For this reason, it is on the Red List of Threatened Species.
I painted on acid-free and therefore age-resistant Arches handmade watercolor paper, measuring 23 cm x 31 cm.
The color of the watercolor may vary slightly from the photos, as they can be displayed differently on different screens.
